Anahita Sedaghatfar is an attorney and television legal analyst and commentator who regularly appears on FOX News, FOX Business Channel, CNN, HLN, FOX 11, ABC News, and other networks. Anahita has been extensively interviewed and quoted in a multitude of print and online publications, including FOXNews.com, E! Entertainment News, Huffington Post and Yahoo! News regarding high profile and celebrity cases.

In 2015, Anahita joined the prestigious Cochran Firm - California, founded by the legendary Johnnie L. Cochran, to serve as Of Counsel to the firm.

Anahita practices general civil litigation in both state and federal courts. Anahita’s principal areas of practice include employment discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, entertainment law, and select criminal defense matters. Anahita is a first-chair trial attorney who has successfully arbitrated and litigated matters from inception through trial. Throughout her practice, Anahita has recovered millions of dollars for her clients.

Anahita has successfully represented employers and employees with respect to lawsuits brought under the Fair Employment and Housing Act and wage and hour laws. She has counseled employers and companies regarding compliance with labor and employment laws and investigations of discrimination claims.

In the entertainment realm, Anahita has experience with contract drafting, review and negotiation for professional athletes, independent film makers, actors, film distribution companies, prominent record labels, and musicians. Prior to starting her own law firm, Anahita was an associate in the Los Angeles office of prominent law firm of Musick, Peeler & Garrett, LLP where she practiced in the areas of products liability, business litigation and insurance coverage focusing on environmental litigation. Subsequently, Anahita established the Law Offices of Anahita Sedaghatfar and formed a partnership with famed O.J. Simpson prosecutor Christopher Darden. During this time, Anahita and Mr. Darden favorably litigated multiple sexual harassment and race, religion and age discrimination cases.

Anahita received her B.A. with highest honors in Political Science and Sociology with an emphasis on law in society from the University of California, Davis. She received her J.D., magna cum laude (top 5%) from Southwestern University School of Law. At Southwestern, Anahita served as a member of the Southwestern Law Review and was appointed to the Law Review’s Executive Board as a Note and Comment Editor. Anahita received several American Jurisprudence Awards for Academic Excellence, including awards for Professional Responsibility/Legal Ethics and Sports Law. Anahita also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Audrey B. Collins, United States District Court for the Central District of California.

Throughout her career, Anahita has performed various pro bono services for indigent clients and for members of the California Lawyers for the Arts.

In addition to maintaining her law practice, Anahita is an adjunct professor at Southwestern University School of Law and is a volunteer for Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles.

Anahita was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2001 and is a member of the Los Angeles County and Beverly Hills Bar Associations.
